Telit's WE310F5 Single Band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy Module

Telit has announced the release of fully integrated, single-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE5) module. Named WE310F5, the new module provides high-speed wireless connectivity to an embedded microcontroller over UART, SPI, and SDIO interfaces.

 

Meeting the growing need for affordable modules, Telit WE310F5 provides 802.11b/g/n (2.4 GHz) and BLE5 connectivity and is available in versions with and without antennas. The module features an industrial-grade design, low power consumption, compact size, and over-the-air firmware (FOTA) upgrades and support.

 

Provisioning is through web-apps and native apps, with BLE enabled Wi-Fi provisioning and HTTPS-enabled Wi-Fi provisioning (via RESTful API’s. Minimal integration and provisioning times, maximum reliability, extended module, and battery life are the standout features that the module provides making it an ideal pick for IoT applications.

 

The WE310F5 module is endowed with software features like Telit AT commands that enable fast time to market. Using next-generation Wi-Fi security specifications and WPA and TLS protocols, the module maximizes data privacy and application security. From smart homes to industrial automation, the WE310F5 is ideal for device vendors like manufacturers of air conditioners and thermostats who want to add IoT capabilities to their product portfolio.
